The product we want you to develop is a simple Flash game. More specifically it is a basic first person shooter. Game consists of just 1 level. The algorithm and program code of the game should be very simple as well. We don't ask you to develope any crazy complicated stuff. 90% of the graphic elements and all sounds are provided. You will need to draw just 2 buttons, 1 body of zombie and a shotgun. ## Deliverables **90% of the graphic elements are provided. You will need to draw just 2 buttons, 1 body of zombie and a shotgun. ** **All images or sounds we want you to use and additional information are in the document attached.** **Tech requirements** OS - MS Windows 7 **Starting the game** Home-screen: The background image for the game homescreen is **IMAGE 16**. When starting the application we want the the **TEXT **here under to be displayed in a "star wars" manner, meaning the story scrolls from the bottom of the screen to the top, like in star wars. The font size and color is up to you, however it must take a large part of the screen and be visible. The speed of the text is also up to you, people must have time to read. The text must not overlap the **"ESCAPE WBS"** title on the image. **TEXT:** **"In 1967, WBS was established to develop new bacteriological weapons for the army.** **At the same time, it became one of the world top business schools to hide its initial purpose.** **One day, a sample of new deadly virus accidentally broke out during some secret experimentations and contaminated all the area.** **People were infected and turned into zombies.** **The only guy who happened to be immune... IS YOU"** The **"IS YOU" **part must be bigger in a different visible color. Once the text is completely played, two big buttons **Play** and **Exit **are displayed, you will have to design and program the buttons. Pressing **Play** starts a new game, **Exit** leaves the application. Buttons are pressed by a left mouse click. When the **Play button **is pressed**, **it launches the next screen, the introduction screen. Introduction screen: we want you to use **IMAGE 1 **for the game introduction screen. This image is displayed for 4 seconds, we want you to add a countdown, "3 - 2 - 1 - GO!" on this introduction screen. The game starts at the end of the countdown on the "GO!". **During the game** The overall concept of the game is really basic. A game lasts 90 seconds. The player will have 90 seconds to kill as much zombies as possible. After 90 seconds time is up and player's score is displayed. The game background will be a university lecture room, see **IMAGE 2**, we want you to use that picture as game background. The player will need to aim and shoot at zombies. During the 90 seconds of a game, the zombies will randomly pop-up from behind the rows of the lecture room. In order to allow the player to shoot the zombies, zombies have to remain visible for a random amount of time between 1 and 3 seconds. Up to three zombies can appear at the same time. There is a shotgun at the bottom of the screen, as described on **IMAGE 3**. To aim at zombies the direction of a shot is controlled by a crosshair following the mouse movement. A left mouse click fires the shotgun. The shotgun moves from right to left or left to right following the mouse movement and crosshair. You will have to design a grey shotgun and a red crosshair. When the player shots, the shotgun makes a sound, please download and use the following sound[login to view URL] (you will need to edit the file to cut out only 1 shotgun firing sound). We also want a background music for the game, the background music can be downloaded at [http][1][://][1][dl][1][.][1][dropbox][1][.][1][com][1][/][1][u][1][/1424351/][1][EscapeWBS][1][/][1][BACKGROUND][1][.][1][mp][1][3][1]. If the music is too short, please repeat it. The music must starts as soon as the application is launched. We want you to design **ONE** zombie's body. We want a very simple body and it can be used for all zombies. However we will provide pictures for the heads of the zombies. See **IMAGE 4 to 14** for the pictures to use. We ask you to properly cut-out the heads of the provided pictures in order to stick them to the body you designed. The body don't need to be too sophisticated. To kill a zombie, the player need to fire at the zombie with the shotgun. We want you to design and program some blood splashing effect when a zombie is hit. You will add a count down timer in the right top corner of the screen for the 90 seconds of the game. You will also add under this a kill-count, killing a zombie brings 1 point. The font, size and colour of the timer and killcount are up to you however it needs to be clearly visible and very simple. **After the game** At the end of a game (after 90 seconds) a new screen appears. The background image will be **IMAGE 16**. The final score is displayed, for example if the player manages to kill 32 zombies in 90 seconds his final score will be 32 points. We want you to write in a large and visible font, "**Good job! You got [insert score] of them!**". The text must not overlap the **"ESCAPE WBS" **title**. **Two buttons are also displayed, **Play again** or **Exit**, you will have to design and program the buttons and we would like you to use the same style as for homescreen buttons. Pressing **play again** starts a new game, **exit** leaves the application.
