Read my novel and give me feedback

I've written a novel and want feedback on it. I'd like you to read it as you would any other book. You won't be on the lookout for errors - although you may spot the odd typo - but just thinking about how you like it as a reader. I'm hoping this will be an enjoyable project. If it's not, I'd like to know what prevented you from enjoying it. Honesty is important. You'll need to be a native English speaker, who regularly reads fiction. Here's a brief summary of the book, which is called Angel Cake: During the hottest summer of the century, TV baking guru Deborah plans a new series while her teenage daughter Liv binges on supermarket cakes and her husband Richard makes his next million. When Liv accuses a local man of sexual assault, the family’s facade begins to crack. But Liv withdraws the allegation and accuses a different man, leaving Deborah to wonder what, if anything, is true. The novel is 83,000 words long, which would be about 220 pages, if printed as a standard paperback. I've posted the first two chapters, so you can get a feel for it.
