I have indoor grow tent, with multiple citrus trees, It runs an exhaust fan, 4 air moving fans, 4 lights, 2 heating pads, and an irrigation pump, I currently run most of the items off of a wifi power bar (geeni surge 6) and the exhaust fan runs via its own controller with temp and humidity settings. The irrigation pump is supposed to run off of a wifi based application (the app no longer exists) I am looking into the idea of getting a raspberry pie and running the entire system off of that with some programming. I would have to regulate on/0ff times for lights and exhaust fan and also integrate a run cycle for the irrigation pump. I have a small vertical garden supplied with water from a 40 l container (upper left, in video) run through a set of gardena hoses. It's currently turned on and off manually. However, I would like that to programmable for when on vacation. The problem, however is that the gravity-pressure from the container is not large enough to push through most of-the-shelf systems, I think, probably because they are these tight electromagnetic valves. I therefore want to buy a solution that can overcome this. I call it an Arduino-controlled ball-valve because I think that would be a neat solution, but really anything you suggest that convincingly sounds like it would work is something I'm interested.
