Security Web Service

Looking for a sample project and code for SECURITY web service, as simple as "Hello World". SECURITY is the key of the project. Either by username or x.509 certificate. Need to be easy to apply to my project. I downloaded the sample code from WSE 3.0, however, I do not really understand how it works. If you have a sample project and show how it works. I would be interested.
