I'm a photographer. My website displays around 150 of my photos that I already uploaded in 5-8K. A few days ago, I noticed some sluggishness in loading the lightbox. So I changed the standard WP "large" thumbnail resolution to UHD (3840 x 2160px) and told the lightbox plugin to fetch the large thumbnails (instead of the original images) when opening the lightbox. So far so good. Problem: The large thumbnails have not been automatically recreated by WP in the new resolution. So I tried using the plugin "regenerate thumbnails" but it gives me a bunch of errors and the 3840 x 2160px thumbnails are not being created. Reuploading all originals in UHD resolution is not an option. Automatically converting all originals into UHD with a plugin should be the very last resort (I would like to keep full-resolution originals). IN THE FIRST SENTENCES OF YOUR PITCH: 1) Show me you understood the problem. 2) Tell me how you would go about solving it. If not, your pitch will be immediately discarded.

Hello. You try to generate high resolution (3840 x 2160px) thumbnails on your WordPress website. This leads to capacity overflow issues on your server. So, it might be a good idea to handle them part by part by dividing images into groups. By doing so, i can regenerate large thumbnails without meeting server capacity issues. 1) Show me you understood the problem. - You are a photographer so the size and the quality of the images are, naturally, very important. That means you had to override wp standard resolution for thumbnails and other image sizes. Now you have an issue with previews in the new resolution. 2) I will check the settings of your "regenerate thumbnails" plugin, I will see if good results can be achieved through that plugin, and if not, I would find an alternative or edit that plugin.
