Greetings! Based on your description, I believe that configuring RemoteApp on windows 2012R2 would be the ideal solution for your enterprise. RemoteApp allows users connected to a server to access and use the program locally as if it were installed locally on the desktop computer. This would allow you to bypass the installation limitation on your application. There are some issues that may come up however. First, you need to know if your application also issues client access licenses. These must be purchased before you can allow users in your network to access the application. Second, your server and network must have the capability of running multiple instances of the application at the same time. If you would like 40 users to use this application at once, your server must meet the system requirements of the app multiplied by 40, and your network bottleneck (the point in your server that transfers data the slowest) must be able to handle the data transfer without excessive latency. Installing and configuring Remote App will require me to adjust your internal firewall's port restrictions to open ports for Remote Desktop Protocols. If you want your users to access the app through VPN or the internet, i will also have to configure the external firewall ports, and install remote desktop web access as well. Hi! You need to install and configure Remote Desktop Services. It´s possible that you need more than one server for this pourpose.
