Hi Travelsober, as a first time user to this site the Cruise Travel Agency Assistant certainly ticks all the boxes for me in terms of skills & experience. I would though like more information of what the job entails before committing myself but here is some information about me that might be helpful to you. I have worked in the travel industry for over 20 years based in Australia. Previous roles undertaken have been Reservations Coordinator, Check in staff for Coach Companies, Domestic Airlines, Marketing & Office Coordinator, Personal Assistant, Inbound Tour Coordinator & Project Specialist. Most recent role was with a State Tourism Organisation. This role required me to liaise with tourism industry members, regional tourism organisations, councils to negotiate rates for inclusion of product in a media or trade famil to raise the level of awareness of the state and encourage further tourism. My main responsibilities were putting the famils together and dealing with clients directly. I am therefore familiar with making bookings, working with wholesalers, inbound tour operators & tourism product. I understand the bid closes in 6 days & in terms of time frames envisage commencement date from 21 October. I am visiting beautiful Port Douglas to update my product knowledge & have some time off from 16 - 21 Oct but would be available to commence from 22 Oct.
