Greetings, I have built a ruby scraper to get data out of news websites for one of the leading news aggregators in the middle east. so typically this project seems a small thing to do. I'd suggest building over a scraping wrapper which in turn uses Httparty and nokogiri. keeping the site configuration separate in case you needed to change it later (if the target site maintainers changed its structure) I have been developring lots of rails applications and will be much keep on getting this as a stand alone easily included module for your main app Regards
