Twilio Transcribe and Record Call and Push to Slack via AWS Lambda

It is similar to yours except I have used SMS webhooks and I think maybe using Voice webhook of Twillio your project instead of SMS webhook will deliver you the solution. May I help you? Hi, The requirements look rather clear and straightforward to implement. Flow will be something like this; 1. User will call the designated twilio phone number 2. Twilio will send a webhook to lambda via aws gateway 3. Lambda will initiate recording with a response containing Record verb along with 2 callback URLs; recording and transcription callback 4. Twilio will send a webhook to recording callback url when the the recording is done and to transcription callback url when transcription is done 5. Lambda will post to slack webhook the transcription text and the recording if transcription is wrong. First of all, though it varies depending on the recording length, for a 10 sec. recording it roughly takes 2 sec. for the recording to be ready and an additonal 8 sec. on top of that for the transcription to be ready. I'm not sure if that is an acceptable delay for your use case. Also, I'm not sure how exactly that'll help with 2FA in this context but I suppose you have a system in place utilizing that part and I don't need to worry as long as the above flow works fine. As a side note, how do we check that the transcription is wrong? Is there a part where we cross match it to a value stored somewhere? By the way, in the case the transcription is wrong and we need to upload the recording we need to use slack web api since we can't use webhook to upload files. That'll obviously require the bot to be invited/added to the channel. I'll use python 3 and it'll take 5 days, thanks.

Hello, It means when a call complete, this should hook your AWS Lambda script and let the lambda script push to slack using the API for the transcribed call downloaded from Twilio URL as well. The URL can be retrieved from Twilio API based on the call ID pushed by the web hook. That's the flow you could use. Best Regards, Khamid
