Hi there, This is Bogdan from Romania. I'm a mechanical engineer, designer, and prototyper with over 15y experience in designing, modeling and effective manufacturing of different products, devices and systems which spans across multiple industries. I could design this multi hole drilling machine for fast connectors insertion as my experience allows to do it - I use to have a customized furniture company, where I had to design and manufacture "in house" several machines for different purposes. What you need in fact is a modular design - a single drilling head, which to slide onto a driving shaft with indexing system on determined positions. This assembly will be mirrored in order to have both sides of the chipboard (or MDF) drilled at the same time. What remain to be determined is the degree of automation (how the drilling heads will be positioned, how the machine detects the presence of the chipboard and how to trigger the drilling and retracting of the heads). While the machine is not very complex, is not simple either - that why my bid is higher (perhaps other freelancers didn't know what is about...) I will make a primal model of the drilling head and the assembly and upon your observations/requests I will modify accordingly to fit your requirements. Hello, you basically need two sets of two drilling spindle that you can adjust along one axis, manually or automatically by a simple MCU board you can program with a PC or your smartphone. Then I would need to know if you plan to use this tool as an hand tool or you want put it in a working bench.
