Hi, I am an electrical engineer having an experience of four years in embedded industry. I have read your project description and i understand that you want to make a gateway for RTU Modbus data. In this case our device will become modbus master and from some other RS232 slave it will ask for the data and send to bluetooth with store in SD card with timestamp Filesystem. I am familiar with Modbus and Serial communication. I wrote my own Modbus library in C for 8 bit and 32 bit microcontroller. For 32 bit i am using STM32 microcontroller since last 4 years. For low power device we can use STM32L series also. Recently i am working on to convert wired keyboard into wireless using nRF51822 BLE chip. I am a proficient Embedded C programmer and PCB designer.
