The Passenger Presence module is a Class 2 Bluetooth device with secure data connection to a windows phone 8.1 and Android Smartphone. It monitors and detect the presence (Occupied) or absence (Empty) of taxi passengers on any of the two rear seat through the Resistive seat sensors (and/or an overhead Passive Infrared motion Sensor). Two resistive seat sensor and a PIR is installed on the rear seat of the car, each of the seat sensor needs to be uniquely addressed and individually identified by the Bluetooth electronic device and smartphone application in other to identify which seat is occupied at every point in time.
