I am not bidding on your project but to tell you that it is nearly impossible to uplaod 50mb to 1gb file from core php coding. You need extra plugin like blueimp uploader which can upload files in chunks, for e.g. It will upload 100 of 500mb then 200 of 500mb etc. So you will need extra plug in for that
