Hi, I have been working with Cisco VoIP since 2001 and Asterisk and freepbx ,trixbox, elastix since 2007. In addition to installing Freepbx and setting up the Queue and Agents, I would also recommend and setup OFF-Time greetings and Voice mail for it, Also for Security, I would recommend to change the defaults ports not only for SIP (5060) but for AMI (5038), RTP (10000-20000), Http (80), Https(443), SSH (22) etc. That being said I would like to have a little chat about your project to better understand the needs of the project regards,

I have good expirience with asterisk/freepbx. About 20 projects for 2 years. For security I will setup fail2ban, if your agents work with voip only from office - I will protect from outside attacks by firewall.

Hello, I propose your simple PBX will be install as following: 1. OS: CentOS 6 ( CentOS is table than Ubuntu in running asterisk ) 2. Asterisk 3. Freepbx 4. Fail2ban : block attacker from scanning system. If they system detect the number of failing register, that IP will be blocked. 5. Implement security of server with itables 6. All requirement setup. Hello my name is Paul. I want to thank you for your consideration. I have worked for the same company for 10 years. Free PBX is what I learned on. Our current PBX machine is designed and maintained by myself. Security is my number one concern, with that said this is not a set and forget system. it will require weekly if not daily maintenance to keep security up to par and allow the system to function smoothly. I would also like to note that you will need to implement some traffic shaping and allow some protocol to enter and leave your network so that your PBX Machine can communicate with your VoIP provider. If you allow me to deploy this system we can talk about the maintenance at a later date. I just want to make sure you know this should be a long term relationship. If this system is housed at a physical location that you have access to such as business office, and all your extensions are located at the same business office then your security concerns are low. If you have remote agents then you will have to open your system up to the outside world making your security concerns very high. May I suggest we talk over the phone so we can talk about some very important details. The project requires the installation of a FreePBX installation on Ubuntu with queue's to support 3 agents. The port should be changed to prevent security issues, provided the SIP channel provider supports alternate ports. Any voicemails should be stored on the server and an email should be sent to the agents as notification.
