bug of ricettario - joomla component

Look to website [login to view URL], and fix this situation: I am running a joomla 1.0.15 site and I installed Ricettario 1.0.3. SUpposedly you are supposed to be able to add a recipe without choosing a picture and the system will instead insert a [login to view URL] picture. I simply cannot make this work. I tested it on a clean 1.0.15 installation and every time I try to add a recipe without a picture, the form is reset and I get this message: "Select an image.". I need to add insted of error report, an [login to view URL] image.
