- Optimize the existing WordPress site and pages to promote navigation simplicity and to shorten loading times. - Ensure the existing template and plugin configurations follow WordPress best-practices and are SEO-friendly. Review and propose solutions to warrant compliancy with other relevant Web standards. - Similarly, ensure the site is compatible with the most common browsers and mobile devices such as iOS and Android-based devices. - Review the site security and provide an audit report. Review and propose fixes when WordPress/Web security best-practices are not met. Ideally, the freelancer will have the ability to code-review PHP or other scripting languages to spot coding malpractices.
