I need a wordpress custom post type duplicated and then altered to handle sport videos Currently am using hardcoded elements here: [login to view URL] These use a lightbox effect to display the video I would like to make this the same but using custom posts and also be able to link VIDEOS to other custom posts (ATHLETES and SPORTS) which already exist - this way I add video once and it appears throughout the site. Would also like to display grid of videos using shortcodes in different areas of the site, eg by category, by athlete, by sport etc. PROPOSALS WITH PASTED CONTENT WILL BE IGNORED - read the spec!

I'm an experienced WordPress developer and I can duplicate your existing custom post type, and make it handle the videos. Also I will implement shortcodes. I would like to know , have you set up the custom post types using a plugin or this is coded in theme? Also when you say "this way I add video once and it appears throughout the site."...pls clarify. As I understand...the videos will be showing where either the shortcode I will implement is called or the video page.
