Task Ticket Manager

We are trying to come up with an organized system to assign and track daily and special tasks given out to employees when the day to day work is completed. We are looking for a numbered ticket based system that would be assigned and collected daily. I was thinking of an Access form with a printable (ticket) version of the form with reporting available on the collected data. The tickets would be collected and the completed data would get keyed in: date completed, notes, approved, etc. We would want to track/report task histories as a summary by date range, per employee and priority.
