We need a script done that is similar to the one that runs on TechMeme.com.
Basically, we need a script that picks up news stories from sources that we choose (RSS feeds), updates them every 5 minutes, sorts the most popular ones (based on buzz and the sources weighing) to the top and lists all related stories below. We would like to also have to option to assign a weight to each source from 1 to 100 that will factor in the buzz score.
If it does not cause too much server strain, we would like to explore the possibility of having the page automatically update without hitting refresh.
We would like to have control as to how many stories show up on the main page, and a 24 hour time frame as to how long the story stays up.
Template will have to include a Cascading Style Sheet and the following aspects:
1) main content, sidebar, header annd footer.
2) a password protected admin page which allows for input of all the information in the paragraphs above.
We will also need a file detailing installation information should we deceide to resell the script.
Included in your price, please note that we would like to get this script installed over 5 different domain names.
## Deliverables
1) Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done.
2) Deliverables must be in ready-to-run condition, as follows (depending on the nature of the deliverables):
a) For web sites or other server-side deliverables intended to only ever exist in one place in the Buyer's environment--Deliverables must be installed by the Seller in ready-to-run condition in the Buyer's environment.
b) For all others including desktop software or software the buyer intends to distribute: A software installation package that will install the software in ready-to-run condition on the platform(s) specified in this bid request.
3) All deliverables will be considered "work made for hire" under U.S. Copyright law. Buyer will receive exclusive and complete copyrights to all work purchased. (No GPL, GNU, 3rd party components, etc. unless all copyright ramifications are explained AND AGREED TO by the buyer on the site per the coder's Seller Legal Agreement).
## Platform
we would like this script to run on every server and be operational in ever browser.
