Enclosed is a sample web page. What I need is a function where I send it the input name and the html data (not url). And it would give me the results. Should work even for other sites as well. Here's an example from the webpage. If the parameter is location, then the end result should be Tucson, Arizona
Need to be case insensitive. However, if the information is not found, then it needs to raise an error. For example, if the parameter is test, it would raise an error because that is not a form field. If its a checkbox field, then it would look to where it was checked. The same thing with radio field as well. For selects (drop down boxes), it would look to where it has the selected part. If its blank, that would be fine as well. The function would return blank. Let me know if you have any other questions. This is parsing html contents (for form field values).
## Deliverables
The completed function to return the field value based on the field name submitted and the html information. Should have 2 procedures.
sub main
dim html
html="text"
dim newfield
newfield=findfield(html, "test")
end sub
function findfield(html, field)
end function
Do not use any internet connection tools at all (WinInet, Transfer Control, XML, Web Browser Control, etc.). The html is the html contents. You can use the html object library to assist as long as no internet connetion methods are used with it.
## Platform
Windows 2000, Windows XP
