javascript/jquery drag and drop portal fuctionality

Drag and drop functionality like <[login to view URL]>. Done with jquery. See sample code draggable : <[login to view URL]> droppable : <[login to view URL]> <[login to view URL]>. Most of the code is there we just need it tweakeed so it will fit our requirements ## Deliverables Hi ? [login to view URL] ? I would like the functionality of this sample but with divs instead of dl dt combination. ? In a page I will define the panles that hold the drag and and drop containers as follows. A module is defined as follows - So any div with a class of sort can be dragged and dropped around as well as all th content in there ? **<div class="sort">** all kinds of content here **</div>** ? In this div there will be a div that will be the drag handle - so this is the part hat if you clcik on it you can use to drag the module around, not the entire content of the module only the div hat holds this class ? <div class="sort"> **<div class="drag">module title</div>** and a lot of content here </div> ? the user can drag modules around and the module positions will be stored in a cookie so that they see the exact same page when they come back. ? The code should work with excisting content as wel as newly added content. So if I start with a page of modules and drag the modules around the positiosn are stored. and the nexttime a page is reloaded modules are shown in the order as they are stored in the cookie. Now i add a few more modules to the html, they are not recognized in the cookie but will have to be shown in the page in the correct panel, on top and with a new class so they can be shown as newly added modules. If they are dragged to a new position the new style will be removed because they are not new anymore ? **<div class="sort new">** all kinds of content here **</div>** ? There will also be atrascan functionality. So modules can be dragged in a trashcan. If they are draggen in a div with class="trashcan" they will fade away. This also needs to be stored in cookie so that we will now which modules are in trashcan. There should also be a javascript function to set all modules in the trashcan back to visible so that they an be dragged and restored to a normal panel ? **<div class="trashcan">** **modules will fade away to invisible here** **</div>** ? This functionalty shoudl eb avaiable in multiple pages so there needs to be a unique var set at top of page that will be used to store the correct cokie with settings for the modules in that page. ? **var pagename="uniquepage1"** The selected coder will also get he functionality of? a previous site we had done this for this also has some of the functionality cookie functionality etc. We just need it to fit the requirements above.
