Java GIS Conversation Tool

I require software written in Java that does the following: 1. Converts a Populated Places (Points) E00 file to a JDBC database table. 2. Takes the Roads (Line) E00 file and sees which towns it intersects with (within n kilometers) and creates a new record in a JDBC Database table that links two towns. If a road (line) intersects several towns like town1.. town2.. town3.. town4 then only the records (town1-town2), (town2-town3), (town3-town4) need to be saved in the database. Deliverables are: 1. A Java GUI application that: a. The user selects a folder and the [login to view URL] and [login to view URL] files are used as the source files for the towns and roads b. The user types in a DSN database (Microsoft ODBC). This should have a Test Connection that returns if the database is found. c. A text field for n kilometers ??" this determines how close the road needs to be to the town for it to create a record in the roads table. d. A status window that shows the status of the program running 2. An example java program that runs the program and does the same thing. I.e. a program that makes all the calls itself. See attached document for more detailed information. ## Deliverables 1) Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done. 2) Deliverables must be in ready-to-run condition, as follows (depending on the nature of the deliverables): a) For web sites or other server-side deliverables intended to only ever exist in one place in the Buyer's environment--Deliverables must be installed by the Seller in ready-to-run condition in the Buyer's environment. b) For all others including desktop software or software the buyer intends to distribute: A software installation package that will install the software in ready-to-run condition on the platform(s) specified in this bid request. 3) All deliverables will be considered "work made for hire" under U.S. Copyright law. Buyer will receive exclusive and complete copyrights to all work purchased. (No GPL, GNU, 3rd party components, etc. unless all copyright ramifications are explained AND AGREED TO by the buyer on the site per the coder's Seller Legal Agreement). ## Platform Java 1.4
