This bid is for the production of a user-interface mockup for a client application. The target environment/language has not yet been determined. The application allows the user to replay a ship's "black-box recorder" dataset - containing both a series of time-stamped positions and a typed "diary" of events recorded on board. The heart of the application is a geographic 2-d top-down plot showing the path recorded for for one or more ships. The application should be a simple/intuitive as possible, and use modern styling (rounded corners, subtle shades). The UI features (controls, windows, borders) are of greater importance than the quality of any mocked-up data. I personally favour the modern grey-tone interfaces I've seen on the Internet - I think they're Flash/Flex interfaces, I'm unsure. More important though, I look forward to an innovative, fresh solution. The application should meet the requirements recorded at: [login to view URL] (Please ignore requirements not relative to a UI mockup.) The finished deliverable should comprise a one or more screenshots simulating the above application.
