We already hired a coder on RentACoder to Write code to pull information from eBay auctions and assemble a dataset that contains auction details for gift cards issued by various merchants (e.g. Walmart). The code worked fine for some time but has now ceased functioning. We need a coder to repair the? code and make it more reliable. This may be accomplished by using API functions.
?
The scripts compile a dataset that contains the prices and other information for various items on eBay.
The scripts work by first scanning eBay for specific items, noting their auction numbers, then checking back every few hours to retrieve the closing price and other information. The CRON jobs to load the scripts at the designated times are still working; we require a coder to debug the scripts and ensure they will work without issue going forward. Ideally, the coder will incorporate API functions so the code will not break when eBay edits its site.
We will provide the scripts for perusal to qualified coders who can then submit their bids.
