This project is for an Mac OS X application that will calculate the beats-per-minute (BPM) value of the songs in a user's iTunes library, post that value to an online web service (already written) and save the web service's response to an XML file. The application will need a progress bar showing the percent of iTunes songs completed and a start / stop button. That's it, its pretty straight-forward. Requirements: For each song in iTunes library: 1) Read song data from iTunes (via Applescript) 2) Calculate BPM for song 3) Post song data (artist, album, title, BPM) to online web service 4) Save xml response from web service in a file 5) Update progress bar with percent of songs completed The application will need to work on the latest version of OS X. More details will be provided when a bid is accepted. Using open-source or similar code is acceptable.
