App that measures tomatoes in a photo

The task involves counting and measuring tomatoes from pictures, and I would like to develop a Stand along Windows app that can efficiently process multiple pictures simultaneously. I have plenty of example pictures available that I can provide to you for testing and development purposes. Here are the key details of the project: Each picture contains a white square, measuring 2 by 2 inches, serving as a size reference. The Feret's diagonal of this square (corner to corner) is 2.828 inches (7.184 cm), and it should be used as the scale for measurements. The pictures will have a long rectangular label that needs to be removed before the analysis. The app will start with a window asking the user to enter the Size Classification Values, with the option to change them if needed. The default values are as follows: • Small (S) from 0 to 26.37 cm2 • 6x7 (M) up to 34.09 cm2 • 6x6 (L) up to 42.80 cm2 • 5x6 (XL) up to 58.79 cm2 • 4x5 (XL) up to 72.45 cm2 • 4x4 (J) above the previous value The app will then proceed to perform image analysis tasks, including thresholding, measuring, etc. When completed, Send a successful Analysis Message The output of the app will be a .CSV or Excel table with the following columns for each detected tomato (Region of Interest or ROI) in all the pictures: 1. Plot No. (Name of the picture without extension) 2. Tomato ID (Object number or ROI) 3. Scaling OK? (YES or FAILED, indicating if the white square was correctly detected) 4. Tomato area cm² (Area of each tomato) 5. Tomato Height cm (Y-axis length of each tomato) 6. Tomato Width cm (X-axis length of each tomato) 7. Size Category (Based on the gathered information from the initial window, possible values: Small(S), 6x7(M), 6x6(L), 5x6 (XL), 4x5 (XL), 4x4 (J). Another outcome expected from the app is a folder inside the results folder that contains all the re-sized pictures (lower resolution) with the following annotations: 1. Drawn border around each detected tomato. 2. Label with their respective Tomato ID (ROI) and Size Classification. 3. A diagonal line from corner to corner (the used Feret's diagonal) in the white square to demonstrate the scale. 4. An "OK" label confirming the square's detection. The app should be designed with a user-friendly GUI for easy interaction and should process multiple pictures in batch mode for efficiency. For this project, I would like to have the executable user-friendly GUI for Windows that process multiple pictures in batch mode and its Python code files.
