Reesearch Methodology section of my dissertation

Research Methodology consisting of around 2000 words: Blockbuster Inc. has experienced a substantial decline in their business over the past few years, and as a result of this went into administration. The most obvious and major factor which has impacted on Blockbusters loss is the fierce competition it faces from its competitors. The two main competitors for Blockbuster Inc. are Netflix and LoveFilm. Both these on demand movie streaming service companies have been a factor for Blockbuster not being able to perform well financially and make profits. My dissertation is based on Blockbuster Inc. (DVD Rental Company) I need help with the “research methodology” section of the dissertation. As part of my primary research I have decided to include proposing online questionnaires to people in general who are users of the entertainment sector. From the online questionnaires, my goal is to get a better understanding of customer’s needs/wants and what could be done to increase customer satisfaction. I would like to include both qualitative and quantitative data in my research. Aims of the work include How primary research will help find: • Consumer behaviour towards internet technology and marketing. • Find out the needs of people in general who make use of the entertainment sector which could have contributed to an increase in Blockbuster’s sales. • Also include the advantages and potential disadvantages of carrying out this type of research.
