The project will entail two parts. 1. Installing Squid and provisioning it as a proxy to do live content search, blocking parts of URL, locking certain applications like video, URL modify and other similar stuff. 2. A web application we can enter keywords URLs and applications we would like to block so any traffic hitting the proxy will be a force with those policies provided at the application..... I have 16 years experience in linux system administration. I have made about 30 installation of squid with access lists. Half of them are still in use. One of the squid installation is for my university, where it is used by more than 1600 computers. There are several custom access lists for sites, including block for Skype connection via proxy.
