Position: Freelance On-Camera Reporter
Location: Midwest (can be remote, but preferably driving distance to several midwestern states)
Details: A video production company is looking to hire an on-camera reporter for local video news segments focused on the impact of Covid-19 on local communities, businesses, and families. We’re producing a pilot video series that tells the stories of the people and places who feel the impact of public policies, through a progressive lens.
We want a dynamic and committed journalist to help us bring these stories to life on camera. Video outlines, local story recruitment, and policy research will be provided.
Requirements:
On-camera journalism experience
Ability to conduct on-camera interviews by connecting with a diverse range of people
In the midwest & willing to travel
Enthusiasm for public policy & strong storytelling
Strong work ethic & high professional standards
Pay: Day or project rate, to be determined based on experience. Expected range is $500-$1500 per shoot day. This role is for our pilot, with the potential to grow if successful.
