Design Specs for RFID / GPS UNITS These units are for a commercial application that we are developing. I’d need the prototype units A.S.A.P for testing and then take a little longer on the production units. Here are the specs RFID UNIT SPECS 1. Read / Write 13.56 MHZ 2. Must be able to read/write a distance of 4 to 5 inches 3. Power is 12 volt vehicle supplied with cigarette lighter plug 4. Rugged enough to with stand vibrations, and high and low temperatures. 5. Connect Dell Axim 3 initially for prototype a. Must be able to also charge PDA b. Serial Port Connection c. After prototype must be able to connect to other PDA’s 6. Connection cord about 5’ long RFID HOUSINING DESIGN 1. Have a few large LED lights for feedback must be able to see in sun light a. RFID LIGHTS i. CONNECTED TO PDA ii. SWIPE ACCEPTED iii. SWIPE AGAIN b. GPS i. CONNECTED ii. SEARCHING iii. BLUETOOTH SOLID/FLASHING (if needed) 2. Possibility of LCD screen if cheep enough 3. Small easy mountable to inside of a vehicle’s windshield GPS UNIT SPECS 1. Similar to [login to view URL] 2. Might even be able to get there board to incorporate into RFID HOUSING GPS/ RFID SHARED COMPONENTS 1. 12 Volt Power 2. Serial Port connection to PDA (if 2 serial ports cannot be connected to single PDA then GPS will be Bluetooth but still using power supply to keep it charged.) So I’d like who ever gets awarded this bid to take this project from design to production. Production quantities will be small less then 25 at a time.

I have 5+ years experience in RFID design as well as product development. I have proprietary design software to design custom antennas & inductive couplers for minimum size and maximum performance. I currently have a bid for a 13.56 MHz wireless system for the DoD. This $1500/45 day bid would be for the initial design, with prototypes to follow. PM for more details.

Hi, I am 7 yrs experienced Hardware engineer. I have experience in datacom, telecom, Ethernet fields. I have experience in processor based high-speed complex boards. I have Orcad for schematics and Allegro for layout and Hyperlynx for SI analysis tools. I am very much interested to do this work. You need RFID and GPS modules are two seperate PCBs or Both are integrating in single PCB?.

I have 12 years of experience in the Design of Boards. For Schematics we use Orcad and for PCB we use PADS. Solidworks will be used for Mechanical design, if required. My experience includes design of multilayer ( 6 layers and 8 layers boards) using AMD, freescale processors. We are well versed in Signal Integrity, power plane, controlled impedance and RF based work design. With this background I would like to provide the competetive bid of $1100, which includes the cost of the first 9 boards, but not the subsequent production board. To be able to provide you low cost we will use the PCB and Manufacturing on our location in India. The 30 days time is to be split as follows Discussions and Design - 7 days ( including Schematics and PCB) PCB - 6 days Assembly and Debug and Testing - 2 weeks I am of the view that the PCB is not very complicated ( no large BGAs, if any) and therefore we should be able to do it in 7 to 10 days period. We will work 16 hours splitting the time in US and India to offer you fastest time to design the prototype. Please note that some unforseen circumstances can delay the deadline by few days. We develop various RFID based solutions, mostly in 13.56MHz band (Mifare, I-code), based on ARM or 8-bit CPUs. We have customers in USA. The bid is for initial design, with prototypes to follow. We can provide cost effective, high quality, small to medium volume manufacturing.
