Programming Project: Pronoun Parsing

This assignment is part of a series of experimental programming projects. Below is the goal of this assignment. We are asking you to achieve this goal in the best, most efficient way you can. Five programmers will be selected to complete this task. In your bid, please include the following: - The programming language you intend to use - The general method you propose GOAL: A lot of text will have pronouns. These paragraphs and sentences will be useful to analyze, prioritize and extract. • FirstPerson: I, me, my, mine, I’d • Male: his, he, him • Female: she, her, hers • Group: they, them, their • Thing: it, its, it’s • Proper: any capitalized word in the string that is not the beginning of a sentence • ProperPerson: anylastname • ProperFemale: firstname • ProperMale: firstname The above is rather easy in ACCESS via VB, but we need to rip across hundreds of millions of records really fast, and then be able to put these into different databases with different priorities, etc.
