HI, if both servers are in network and is in Active directory domain, we can simply set snapshot replication between both sql server it will sync both database at every 5 sec(you can change it to 1 sec if needed) that way both database will be in sync. i have been doing in my daily job so will be easy for me. I don't want to false commit but the solution would depend on your requirement: Can you answer these questions: 1. Do you really want a real time data transfer or a small delay of a few minutes is fine? 2. How much transaction happens on the first database? 3. Would the secondary copy be purely treated as a backup Or do you want to use it for some other purpose like reporting etc? 4. How many databases do you have on the first server? Since you have 2 servers .... you can implement AlwaysOn AG...this way you will have both high availability and DR.
