October Software has developed a project planing software for project driven companies. It’s designed to support the leading project planning software on the market from Microsoft and Oracle. We’re looking to expend the current functionality to also include basic reporting functions. The user must be able to create a report based on the data within the application. About the task As a minimum, we would like to support text areas, pictures areas and basic graphic items. The report will get it's data partly from the application. The user must be able to create items (textbox, picturesbox, etc..) and place it on a paper outline (or canvas). The user must also be able to create several pages, add page number, date and header/footer text. We imagine a user interface like MS PowerPoint. System requirements Our current development has been done i Qt/C++ so our reporting module must also be developed in Qt (5.7) The development must be done be using or subclassing current Qt components and cannot make use of third party software Developer requirement Experience with Qt application development Experience with cross-platform / large scale software development Experience with GUI libraries, specifically Qt Please attached your CV and screen shorts/links to previous work.

Hi there, i have few questions regarding reporting module: 1) Should it have page header/footer section(s) 2) Report footer/header ? 3) Should it have data section (that will dynamically increase based on datasource data) ? 4) Can you check please Microsoft Reporting 2010 and does it's interface fits to your needs ? 5) How data should be supplied to reporting engine ? (through object collection ? through sql query ? or what else ? ) 6) Can programmer use open source modules in it ?
