Hello. Do you need to detect the PWM signal only (i.e., any other signal mst be ignored). If yes - It's possible to use digital pins for more reliable detection? May I know the amlitude (voltage) and frequency of your input signal? With best regards Maxim

Do you need to detect just the presence of the PWM signal or do you need to detect other characteristics like duty cycle, freq, etc? Hello there, Since you are willing to use an analog input (A0 in your case) for sensing existence of PWM signal, there will be no use for an external interrupt while they are only supported on pin 2 and 3 as interrupt 0 and 1. Either we can smooth the digital PWM using resistor and capacitor and read as analog or just use PulseIn command to read the value. Note that: PulseIn will keep CPU cycle occupied until the signal goes LOW! If you don't use any other heavy process with the CPU, it is just fine. Thank you and good luck with your project. Sener
