Hello, Myself Kiran and I am new in Freelancer. I am a postgraduate in Automotive Electronics and I have a professional experience of 2+ years as an embedded software engineer. My experience which will be helpful in this work:- - In my previous company and in the college I have worked on many projects which uses CAN communication. Also I am experienced in using Vector CANoe tool. - I have worked in a bootloader project for PIC32. But it was using USB interface. As per my knowledge this is how we have to implement the CAN bootloader 1) Right application for the bootloader and flash it in the boot code section. 2) Bootloader code handles the CAN communication and will be able to application program memory. 3) When the device is powered on it will enter in to bootloader mode. If application is present, then it will run application else it will wait for the CAN message containing the application code (we can assign IDs for each controllers). 4) Application code may contain many bytes of data. Using CAN we can only send 8 bytes of data in a message so the algorithm used for handling messages will be different from handling USB/UART messages. 5) Once the application is written into program memory, then we set a byte (application present) in a particular memory location in order to understand the application is written (bootloader will be checking this byte while booting). 6) When the controller is running the application code and if a CAN message with new application code ini

Made a similar project with can bus bootloader for STM32 and also coldfire micro. Also, a more realistic time estimation will be 50-60 days. Cost of the hardware and delivey also have to be considered.
