Screenwriter For Authentic Life Story

I'm on the hunt for a talented screenwriter who can help turn my real-life story into an engaging screenplay. This project involves taking the pinnacle moments of my life, much like the twists and turns of a "Forrest Gump" type narrative, and translate it into a captivating script. My father's was born the son of a coal ni er in PA. His father had his foot smashed after seeing his father (my dad grandpa who came here from Poland) killed in that same mine. He decided after that to move to Parma Ohio and start an HVAC company. My father was born in the projects in Euclid Ohio in 1947. He grew up with his twin brother, one older and one younger sister. He ad a normal childhood of playing baseball and riding his bike. He was in a serious bicycle accident that he almost lost his life when was young. When he was around 12 years old his parents sponsored Quocku, a man from Kenya, through their church to live with them. His English name was Robert Anim. He lived with them for years when he was getting his education here in the states. One day they all tried to go to a local water park with other families from the neighborhood. They would not let them in with Robert because of his race. My grandfather packed everything back up and left to do something else that day as he would not stand for that. In his teens he met his high school sweetheart. they dated for years and got engaged before he left for Vietnam. Joe (my dad) left for vietnam and made it to Swift boat detail (he served on the same boat as Senator John Kerry who ran for president on 2004). There was a 96% casualty rate in that unit. He was in the rivers depicted in the movie Apocalypse Now. Duting one raid a viey cong soldier fired a rocket at their boat. It missed. They then turned to boats around and interogated the villagers as to who fired it. Getting nothing they burned the entire village to the ground and left. One day he returned from a combat patrol to get a letter that he was being emergency discharged as his Father had suffered a major brain hemorage. He was back in the states in less than 24 hours to help take over the family business he had worked at since he was a little kid. There was no adjustment period for him so when he went to the local McDonald's and they refused to fill his drink all the way because he asked for no ice he pulled the worker over the counter as was normal for him for the last 2 years of his life in Vietnam. (He is not a violent man at all). He was a lost soul when he came back and he and Donna (aforementioned sweetheart) separated. He spent some time in bars. His father was still living and he convinced him to build a house for himself. While he was building it one day a girl (Christina) drive by and said hi to him. 6 weeks later they were married and had three children Joe, Paul and Scott. They were married for 23 years during which they ran the family business, coached the kids in softball, Joe was president of the VVA and worked with Dr. John Wilson at Cleveland state to understand the after effects of war. Through their work Dr. Wilson coined the term PTSD. My father started reading a lot in his thirties about what really happened in Vietnam. I started working in the family business when I was 14 years old. It was a fairly happy home but my parents argued a lot. They ended up getting divorced when I was 14. Joe then reconnected with Donna and finally married his high school sweetheart. She had three kids of her own and their father left when they were little kids. Donna raised them on her own. Joe helped Donna go after her kids father for 19 years of back child support. In 2004 my father spoke at a few local events and interviews about what swift boat detail was really like for the Kerry campaign when he ran for president. Together they have been credited for saving over 32 lives. 10 years ago we went to Maine to watch my father speak to the crew of the USS Zumwalt while it was being built. He served under Admiral Zumwalt and with his son who was killed from the agent orange his father ordered dripped on them. 5 years ago myself (Scott), my wife. Donna, Joe (my dad) and my stepsister all went with him back to Vietnam to meet with his former enemy and the people that lived in the village. We took my 7 month old daughter so he could hold his granddaughter there while met and spoke with those people. It was amazing. We won an Emmy for the documentary of that trip. He is aging now and the agent orange poisoning is really taking its toll but he is still in uniform ready for whatever his country or family need of him.
