I have a routine for a client that has worked for years but now with a recent upgrade to Outlook Express it is now failing in one particular area. On a Windows 95/98 machine running Outlook Express 6.0, when the user opens up an email to read it, I have a routine that successfully extracts the text from the "Subject" and "Date" field using 'SendMessage() and the WB_GETTEXT message. Unfortunately the "From:", "To:", and "cc:" fields are all failing now. I suspect that this is due to an upgrade due to viruses that use those fields to possibly propagate. This one is very easy. I'm trying to play .wma, .mp3 and some *.wav files from one computer in two rooms in my house. I want to be able to play different files at the same time. I have already written the program to play them, but am a little scared of the DirectX code. I have two choices: 1) Separate sound cards, lots of APIS, and use Windows 2000. 2) Use a sound card with front and back stereo and set the audiopaths on the different wav files so that they are only played on the front or back.
