stretching header with size iPhone and iPad

i have a stretching header over the width of my xcode project, it fits ok for iPhones but for iPads it's sizes are not looking well at whole, is it possible to fix this? Eventually let some black space on both outsides of the ipad header so the image only appears in the middle? thanks for any help
