A unique Id or bar code or docket no is generated for the consignment detailing consignor, consignee, item description, booking place, destination, pmt terms etc. Prior to this there could be quotation generation, contract agreement with customer. Consignment Dispatch: -------------------------------- Booked consignments are dispatched via Air,Rail or Road.A dispatch-Id is generated. There could be one or more consignments in a dispatch. A challan is generated mentioning dispatch details. Purchase Bill : ------------------- Against a dispatch or challan or manifest a purchase bill is raised with a purchase id no. detailing Air, Rail or Road service, cost involved etc. The host company makes the purchase bill for services it asks for in transporting goods of its customers by air/rail/road service provider. Purchse Bill Payments : ---------------------------------- Once a purchase bill is raised, payment is made to air lines, railways or truck service providers by the host company. Unloading/Goods Arrival/Delivery : -------------------------------------------------- A consignment reaches its destination, unloading is made and delivery is made Delivered un-delivered items inventory is maintained. A customer can make payment to host company at the time of delivery. Billing : -------------- It is a sale module. Bill is raised to customer based on payment terms by the host company Bill Payment : -------------------- Against bills, payment are received detailing bill [login to view URL] deducted, payment mode etc. All these modules described above have principles of accounting and taxation involved in it. Based on thees input modules various MIS Reports, financial statements, tax reports, books of accounts are generated.
