Below are the requirements for a new job posting/room booking application. All programming should be completed using php and mySQL. You can preview the layout of the pages by going to [login to view URL] There are several different scenarios, which are explained below. Please go through the form, and my notes below to ensure you understand the requirements. Please note that the 'Continue to Next Step' buttons do not actually go anywhere. You will need to program this in to go to the next step/page in the sequence.
1/ Create a job posting
Users will have the option to create a new single job posting, repost of a previous submission (if less than 2 months), or purchase an unlimited number of job postings over a year.
For a new single job posting, if the user selects more than 1 location, the prompt for # vacancies, city/province should follow accordingly. For example, if they select 2 locations, they should be prompted twice for # vacancies at each location, plus city/province. Only the following file formats should be allowed (.doc., .docx, .pdf). Any others should be rejected. A single job posting is $100.00. If they want to add a small logo, an additional fee of $50.00 would be added on. Job posting will be posted on web site up to application date, and then automatically removed.
For a reposting, the intent was that if the client did not receive any applications and wanted to repost the same ad, they could do so through this form. We would prompt them for Job ID #, Company Name & Position Name. The client was concerned that the company would not know the Job ID #, but obviously we need to be sure we are reposting the correct job. My thought was to offer a prompt similar to ‘Forgot Password’. If this is too complicated, then the University administrator should be able to login to the backend and get this for the client.
The unlimited job postings option allows them to make this purchase for $1,000.00, which should generate a promo code to the client. Once this transaction is complete, then they would have to go through the process of creating a new single job posting.
2/ Book an event - companies would use this option to book an event if needed. Cost is $150.00.
3/ Book a room for interviews - companies would use this option to book a room for interviews if needed. Cost is $50.00 per room per day, or $25.00 per room for ½ day.
4/ Display your logo – companies would use this option to have their logo display on the Job Postings page (see demo page at [login to view URL]). Options are either $100 per month, $700 to display from September 1 to April 30th, or $1,000 for the full year. If they select ‘Monthly’, there should be another prompt to say “State number of months”.
All jobs submitted will be displayed on a page similar to the template link provided above [login to view URL] As you can see, these postings are separated into groups (Permanent Full Time, Co-op, Part Time, Summer).
There should be a backend admin that will allow the administrator to extend application deadlines, fix typos, export the database, retrieve Job ID’s, etc.
A bcc copy of all confirmation emails (for all transactions) will be sent to the University administrator.
The client is hoping to have this functional by mid July.
