The attached power point display demonstrates the functionality needed for this self updating restaurant menu.
Screen one, the administrator would select a date (from a drop down as shown) for which to create a menu. Then he can "Update Old Menus" by selecting from an archive of old menus and revising them, or he can choose to "Create a New Menu".
Screen two: Items will be broken out into five major categories: Soups, Entrees, Sandwiches/Panini/Wraps, Desserts, and Beverages. Screen two uses soups as the first example. The bottom of the screen "New/Edit Entry" will give the administrator the ability to add new soups which will then show in the upper left hand box. Highlighting an exiting item in the left hand box will allow the administrator to either "Add Item" to the menu or "Edit Item Below" in the "New Edit/Entry" area. Items in the left hand box can then be moved to the right hand box which will select them for the current menu. Note that the Soup pricing requres three fields and is different from priceing of other foods, as you will see on Screen three).
Screen three: This is the example for entering entrees. The only difference is that there is only one price field.
Screen four: Shows desserts.
NOT INCLUDED AS EXAMPLES ARE THE SCREENS FOR SANDWICHES/PANINIS/WRAPS, AND BEVERAGES. These screens should follow the format of those screens previously described.
Screen five allows for the insertion of a background image.
Screen six shows the finished menu. When printed the left hand navigation will not print, but the header and the address information should print.
