This is a fairly small job but could be a doorway to many more jobs on a much larger scale if I am impressed by
your skills and dedication. I recently had a flash programmer build me an audio loop player. He did a very good
job but unfortunately has vanished and so the project still has a few minor bugs that need fixing.
Action scripting knowlege is required and an understanding Javascript.
I have all the source files for you to work on. I will require you to be available on messenger so that you can
talk with my php programmer and myself. Let me give you more detail about the project.
The way my loop player works.
Within my page is a flash movie which plays loops of audio by loading in other .swf files.
These .swf files are loaded in using a javascript contained within my php pages.
The javascript loads 3 files into the loop player:
1 - the .swf that contains the audio
2 - a .txt file for the amplitude animation
3 - another .txt file for the spectrum display animation.
All of this works very well apart from a few minor bugs which I will need you to fix.
1 - Many of the files that the javascript loads into the player have # character in the filename. Flash does'nt
seem to like this as the files simply dont load. Its not an issue with the server as we've tested other files. The
previous programmer actually started on a method of fixing this but did not complete it.
2 - The two .txt files that the javascript loads into the player currently reside in the same location which is
not ideal as I have to manually rename 1 set of files in order to get it to correspond with the way the loop
player is currently set up. This needs tidying up. I've looked at the actionscript and I can see where this could
be changed but with my poor knowlege of action script its bets to leave it to the professionals. So you would need
to change some of the parameters for file names and locations within the FLA file in order to tidy things up.
For example, the terminolgy that the previous programmer has used is incorrect, he used terms like "ampFile" and
"ampFileUV" which ofcourse I've been forced to use in the javascript so that it all works. I'd prefer terms like
"amplitude" and "spectrum" as these correspond better with what I'm trying to do. We also needto split the
location of the two .txt files so that i can just give them both the same name.
My php programmer will be on hand to make any modifications to the php and javascript so that you can get this
working perfectly.
Like I said its only likely to take you a couple of hours to do but could lead to a very healthy working
relationship.
Please let me know if you are up to the job.
