Reading Data from Excel File

I am a full time Java Developer.I can do your application.

Hi, I have tried out a sample with the uploaded excel file and have written a simple class. Can interface this with a JSP too after identifying the relationship between the data and the headers if any.

OK!, it looks easy! Remember POI is only for Excel '97(-2002). Two days is okey to analyse and integrate with your application, because the code is already done.

Can do it with several different technologies, depends what's the final purpose for you. What do you want to do with the extracted values: dump it in another text file, or into a database etc.

We can do it in the following three ways, choice we leave to you. 1. We can open and save the excel file as XML spreadsheet and make a component to read the generated the XML data. This requires usage of MS Components. 2. We can use openoffice to achive the above result. This will make us free from MS 3. We can use Jakarta POI as you mentioned but with limitations of excel versions (It is only available for excel 97-2002). The first two solutions are version independent and also have been tested and stable. We shall convert the same file you have given as sample and place it in the PMB. The solution is ready and u need to only place the order to get the solution. We hope our offer meets your requirements.
