We are doing a project creating maps for all 50 states in a variety of styles. We are starting with MICHIGAN. This project requires some great lettering, research, good sense of color and an ability to work with accuracy and creativity. The desired style is on slide 4 of the attached. Slide 1 shows examples of a preexisting concept. Slide 2 links to the vector map that you will need to fill the counties with the town names. Slide 3 shows how to identify the towns to use on the map, with a link to the resource and the spelling of the maps. Slide 4 shows the desired style (different state) along with the variation for when we want to isolate only one city on the map.. Note: we would like to creatively include: The name of the STATE The name of the lakes, as a layer we can turn on or off, filled into the shape of the lakes.
