Social Media Launch/Management/create brand awareness

I am in the process of starting a new handbag line called Odonate Alexander. I have a logo and a font. These are luxury leather handbags handcrafted in Italy; I will be importing them (I live in Texas and actually my first shipment has arrived at the port in Houston, Texas, where I will be picking them up early next week). Currently this collection includes 4 handbags in various colors. 2 women's wallets and a man's wallet. I have someone working on a website right now, but I will not have all of my photos and content for that until I get the products in my hands. As far as writing content, I would be fine with doing that, but of course would appreciate your expertise and input as well. I am currently working on more designs to add to the line this coming spring. I have a very high quality product, but I know that success of this handbag line is going to require the correct social media marketing. Certainly I would like to use instagram and twitter and snapchat (I don't know if I can afford to advertise on snapchat - I believe that is very expensive - you might have ideas for this). I would also like to be able to send emails/target to specific demographics. I am guessing that I would like to start with a creating a buzz, then social media launch. Besides the social media and website, I hope to be marketing my product via trunk shows and possibly pop up tents at various venues more local to me. If this project sounds like something you would like to do, please give me some ideas of how you would proceed in order to do a social media launch, and the best way to market these handbags - not just to reach the greatest amount of people, put to reach the correct demographic.
