Hey, I reviewed the requirements document that you shared and also saw the data file you attached. Since the requirement is to have a system that will efficiently store data and present the summary in a nice dashboard format, I would recommend an Excel+Access based solution. Now, here is how it may work: 1. Excel serves as the control for the entire system (it is easier to use than Access). 2. Excel macros would be built which will allow you to import the data to Access tables on click of a button. 3. Excel dashboard sheets would be included in the tool which will show all the metrics that you have mentioned in the document. The dashboard would be dynamic so that by changing the parameters (like top 20 instead of top 10) the numbers would change. 4. This will also allow you to run ad-hoc queries in Access itself and we may also explore if there is a merit in giving feature to allow you to export some raw data and do such ad-hoc analysis in Excel itself since analyzing data in Excel is much easier as compared to access. Hi I am interested in this project. I am an experienced Microsoft Technologies developer. I can do the job for you. For technologies, I would suggest to go with Microsoft SQL Server. It can be done with MS-Access database as well but when you say that the records exceed the Excel limits it is better to go with SQL Server as it can handle too many records. MS-Access database will get slow. If you don't want to maintain previous years records then we can go with MS-Access as well. Hi Glen - This is Rob. I think we could create a really nice synergy between this project and the first one. I've updated the Google Drive files with a teaser of how we'd merge this in with the existing tool. In the inputs file, I've added an import tab at the end for Picking Transactions. Note, the way that I envision this working is you will upload approximately one month of picking transaction data at a time and the data will maintain all of the upload history (give it a try with some additional months if you like). I've only added skeleton logic thus far, but you can see the generic output in the reporting file in the "Pivot_PickingTransactions" tab. Kick the tires and let me know what you think.

Hi, I'm an IT consultant with over 6 years of experience in various technologies such as MS Access, MS Excel, VBA, SQL Server, Oracle, Informatica, SSIS, SSAS, SSRS etc., I can complete this project to your satisfaction. The simplest way to work on this project would be by using MS Access. A script could be written to import all your data files into Access either directly or by converting them to .CSVs. The dashboard can then be created in Access as per the requirements. I've gone through the dashboard requirements document and they could be incorporated into Access. As for being able to create your own queries, you can drag and drop headers to generate SQLs in Access if you have decent Access knowledge.
