Creating Large Database

Hi. What about SQL Server Express, which is free and has free GUIs to manage and view? It does have a 10 GB limit per database. Additionally, if you need a more complex solution, you could create one database per state as a multi-sharded solution; although, I wouldn't expect the need of such complexity. I can experiment with a database to see if it will never exceed the data limits you expect. Also, I can make a simple GUI for you to interact with the database(s); if it's pretty basic I can probably do it for the quoted bid (we can discuss further). So, my bid is for creating the database, and putting the data in it, and possibly provide you with a simple GUI for data entry and querying, and you will also have a Management Studio provided, free, from Microsoft. I can develop this as a Windows desktop application using C# and SQLite or MySQL database, and deliver in a week or less. I did this previously for 2 clients and they were very happy with the work - over 1 million rows able to be imported, queried,exported to the database from CSV files. Hi If you have data less than 2GB then you can use Ms Access. I can build a friendly interface via Ms Access for that. If not then you have to use SQL Express (10gb opportunity)- it's also free. Also possible Ms Access front end and SQL Server back end. So you can decide which way is optimal for you. Regards, Zura

This problem my be solved with the help of R-script or any else. the files are putted in one folder, then the script read the list of filenames, then it loops reading the files and row binding them in one table.

hello, i would suggest for you to use pivot tables since the data is in csv format. it will make it possible to filter data in to different states.
