Editing & Proof Reading

Hello Your project was pointed out to me by Tim Brewer, particularly as it is in the fantasy/sci-fi genre. From my portfolio you will see that the two edited books I chose to include are both in this genre and have both been published. I have allowed 60 days for the project, not because it will take 60 days for one round of editing to be completed, but this is a reflection of how long the process can take, depending on the amount of work required. I do not edit purely by making changes I feel appropriate, but by also making suggestions as to changes which could be made and explaining why. My editing also takes the form of providing a critique. This is not picking fault where it can be found, but more a case of trying to identify where there may be weaknesses/problems with the text, the narrative, continuity and style. This is included in the fee. The 'process', even though this is editing subsequent to publishing, would involve a round of editing, then once all edits had been accepted/rejected, only then would a final proofreading of the text be done. This is also included in the fee agreed. I work as a professional and full-time editor, proofreader and writer and work as an individual as opposed to fronting a team - this assures you will get continuity from start to finish and will only ever need to deal with me.
