We want a design for a custom headform and neck that can be used for impact testing a mouth guard with sensors in it. Impacts will be up to 300G - so it needs to be tough. The headform should be able to be machined from aluminium, and be hollow with places to mount 9 accelerometers inside (in a special configuration - 7 accelerometers on an L-shaped part at the center of the head, 2 in the crown). The chin part needs to be cut away and provision made for mounting mouth guards for testing. The ears should be smoothly removed. The accelerometers are 7264B-500 from Endevco. The headform should mount on a flexible neck, consisting of aluminium spacers and rubber elements.
