When you are a freelancer, you have a lot of work to do, and that includes looking for and organizing new jobs.
As a former freelance writer on Elance myself, I understand the burden of responsibility of managing every single part of your Elance (and other sites) career, when all you may want to do or be able to do is your research and writing!
Okay, okay, I am offering the following: I will hire you as a regular writer for my company, which serves web content clients on a regular basis. You can do other projects for clients of your own in between my projects, because I will give you deadlines which always allow you plenty of time. If you or your fellow writers don't have any time to take on urgent work (should we receive any) then I will do the writing myself, if necessary.
You will be paid $9 per article. For some of you, this is way too low, and for others, this is plenty high enough. The price itself is non-negotiable (and includes the Elance fee: $0.60) but you will have BENEFITS, which may be a deciding factor for you.
You will only have to work with me. You will not have to negotiate between different clients and different personalities.
You will only be dealt with in a professional manner, unless you prefer joking and more jovial communication. If corrections are needed, I will let you know ASAP, and I will personally help you construct the type of writing that our individual clients are looking for.
Also, you will get the benefit of my many years of expertise. If you need coaching, you can call me on the phone, 24/7, to cry into my ear, ask me the tiniest of questions, or to discuss projects and client requirements.
All you have to do is stay in contact with me on a regular basis, so that I can assign work to you as soon as it is available. You don't have to talk to clients, win them over, get job bids, or anything else of the kind. That is my responsibility.
I need a Native English speaker, and your professional writing experience wouldn't necessarily be long-lived. I will take on new writers or experienced writers. I will mentor you. I will help you with self discipline problems, emotional intelligence deficiencies, and whatever else you may desire from me.
You can put any bid into the fixed price amount. The end result will still be $9 per article.

You pay $ 9 per article all dealings are directly with you. You also offer hand holding services for those who may require it. Although if you can write content worth $9, you shouldn't require hand holding.
